Despite wholesale advances in electronics technology, paper remains the standard for marine charts. Ocean Charting Services simplifies staying compliant for Coast Guard inspections and internal audits by providing accurate weekly chart and publications updates.

Every week, Ocean Charting Services sends individually tailored update packages to our customers’ vessels. Update products include: self-adhesive chart updates, Light List and Coast Pilot corrections, DVD/USB Flash Drive with digital Light Lists, Coast Pilots, CFRs, and other useful publications, as well as printed/digital Notice to Mariners, and digital chart updates.

Chart Corrections

“Chartlets” — self-adhesive paper chart corrections tailored to your vessel’s chart inventory.

Digital Publications

Ocean Charting Services also provides many publications on a DVD/USB Flash Drive, updated weekly.

Light List Corrections

As for Coast Pilots, OCEAN CHARTING SERVICES also provides Light Lists in three ring binders.

Coast Pilot Corrections

They are compliant versions of USCG Light Lists and NOAA Coast PilotsⓇ as required under 34 C.F.R. 166.33.

Allows the Use of Digital Publications

In 2015 OCS began to provide digital updates to many government publications. Weekly DVDs or USB flash drives may be sent in lieu of the printed updates formatted as replacement pages.
